Recruitment
What is Recruitment? The Iota Zeta Chapter of Phi Sigma Sigma is about being a part of an organization much bigger than yourself. From the outside looking in, you don't understand it, from the inside looking out, you can't explain it. Many Phi Sigs would describe rushing and accepting a bid as a process that completely turned their college experience upside-down.
Recruitment as a whole is about finding your home and finding the sorority that best fits you. Our recruitment is a formal process that happens in the Fall. Greek Life at UMD is about being apart of a Greek Family and more over a community with seemingly-endless philanthropic, service, and networking opportunities throughout. We want you to get excited about Recruitment, at least as excited as we are! Not only because it's a huge resume booster, but because you get the opportunity to meet SO many of the most dynamic young women on campus, and even become one of them. And we are dying to meet you: The sorority's next president, or the one to plan our next Spring Banquet! |
How Do I Start? To participate in recruitment, a woman must be a full-time, undergraduate student enrolled at UMD. The student must have a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average of 2.5 from UMD or a 3.0 Grade Point Average from high school if the student is a freshman. Come to our events and get to know us!
