![]() One of the biggest events of the year, the Polar Bear Plunge, took place near the shore of Lake Superior on February 15th. As the University of Minnesota Duluth was represented by various organizations and groups, one definitely stood apart from the rest; the lovely ladies of Phi Sigma Sigma wouldn't have missed this event for the world decked out only in the most fashionable attire complete with flamingo caps and coral spirit jerseys. Raising over $1,500 which will benefit the Special Olympics, Iota Zeta Archon Allison Remple, Vice Archon Amanda Taylor, Alexa Fletcher, Sonya Nayar, Kendra Eisenschenk, Liz Klein, Megan Albrecht, Anna Alcorn and Laura Schumack had decided to jump in the frigid waters to show their support for the organization. Not only was this support shown with a hop into the lake, but also with shirt sales made by our own Sonya Nayar. More than $500 was raised from Sonya's beautiful designs which will also be donated to the Special Olympics!
